Nathalie picks up her daughter Julie from the mall where she's just been caught stealing. Entrapped in the car, the exhausted single mother and her rebellious but fragile teenage daughter get into an argument which soon escalates into a violent altercation.

This coming of age film is a beautiful portrait of a mother and daughter's struggle to communicate. Sometimes a film just doesn't improve when adding music. Marie's coming of age "Le Trajet" is such a film, the beauty lies in the absence of music. However, we do want the audience to be able to hold onto the lasting feeling when the credits roll, so this piece of music is my interpretation of the journey they took.
